Spiraling with social anxiety? Try this instead.

Nike was right about social anxiety too.

Just. Do. It. Like, anything, really.

It’s the antidote to one of social anxiety’s biggest weapons.

And as one of our community members learned, just showing up can be a win.

Cheat Code: Success Spiral

Social anxiety loves a good ol' shame spiral.

Anxiety → Do Nothing → Regret & Shame

But there’s a way out. Small wins shatter the spiral, create momentum and build confidence:

Small Win → Confidence → Bigger Win.

Next time you’re anxious, try for one small win.

  • Going to an event → Show up for 30 mins
  • Talking in a meeting → Say one sentence
  • Voicing a concern → Ask about their intent
  • Sharing personal things → Ask a personal question
  • Starting a convo → Introduce yourself

It's the start of your success spiral.

Win of the Week

“I got invited to my co-worker’s birthday lake party, but I can’t swim. I was worried I’d look weird while everyone else got in.

So I showed up with a plan to leave early if it got too awkward.

He was SO appreciative that I came. I forgot how much that means to people. And the funny part? The water in that part of the lake only came up to my knees.”
